Karl Ladewig, 73, of Ingleside, Texas, passed away on September 27, 2025. He was born on October 30, 1951, and lived a life marked by faith, family, and service.
A proud graduate of Ingleside High School, Class of 1969, Karl went on to dedicate 40 years of his career as an influential partner at DuPont in Ingleside. Known for his steady leadership and strong work ethic, he left a lasting impact on both colleagues and community.
Karl’s faith was central to his life. He was a founding member and deacon of Bethel Baptist Church in Ingleside, where he faithfully served for many years. His devotion to the church and his community reflected his deep commitment to living out his beliefs.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lillie; his children, Amy (Doug) Chastain of Burleson, TX, David (Wendi) of San Antonio, TX, Michael (Veronica) of Corpus Christi, TX, and Jamie Blacka of Ingleside,11 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren; and his sisters, Lynette Bebereia of Moses Lake, Washington and Terri (Bill) Crouse of Bend, Oregon. Karl was a proud and devoted family man who cherished his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren deeply. Karl is preceded in death by his parents Royce William Ladewig and Doris Jean Ladewig, brother Jeffrey Ladewig, and sister Royceanne Miller.
A celebration of Karl’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday October 3, 2025 at Bethel Baptist Church in Ingleside. The family welcomes flowers to be delivered to Bethel Baptist Church on the day of the service.
Karl’s legacy of faith, service, and love for his family will continue to live on in the lives of all who knew him.
