Charlene Kay Marschman, 70, passed away surrounded by her family on August 16th, 2025, after a long battle with Parkinson's. Born September 15th, 1954, to Lloyd and Babe Ruemelin of Adams, NE, she was the second of their four daughters.

Charlene grew up in Adams, NE, where she graduated from high school in 1972. She then attended UNL and obtained her bachelor's degree in education. Following college graduation, Charlene took her first teaching job at Meridian Public School where she also spent many years coaching volleyball.

Charlene was united in marriage to Terry Marschman on June 9th, 1978, in Adams, NE. To this union were born two children, Mindy Marschman, born December 2nd, 1981, and Bret Marschman, born February 10th, 1986.

Charlene enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was known to always have a camera ready to capture all the special memories. Later in life, her passion for photography led her to a role as a photo specialist at the Walmart photo lab. She found fulfillment in serving for St. John Lutheran church where she was a member. Charlene also had a love for animals, especially her cats. If Charlene had any free time she could be found at a sporting event supporting her family or the Huskers, especially Husker volleyball. Her grandsons were her greatest joy.

Charlene is survived by her husband of 47 years, Terry Marschman; daughter Mindy Marschman, Bret and wife Kelsey, Marschman; grandsons, Braylon Marschman and Ryker Marschman; sisters, Rita (Cal) Fix, Patty (Max) Searcey, and Lavon (Kevin) Parde; father-in-law, Ernest Marschman; brother-in-law, Monte (Carol) Marschman; along with many nieces and nephews, family and friends. She is preceded in death by, her parents Lloyd and Babe Ruemelin, mother-in-law Luree Marschman, and nephew Corey Fix.
