Charlene Peterson Solomon

Charlene Peterson Solomon, 83, was born on February 21, 1942, to Wayne and Norman Peterson in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the second eldest of four girls, Carol (Gary) Prestwich, Cheryl Jean Rassmussen, and Christine (Ronald) Guymon. Charlene went to Cyprus High School, after which she attended Beauty School where she received her diploma.
Shortly after she married the love of her life, Gary Robert Solomon. They went on to have three children, Troy (Sandy), Ronald, and Darrin. Together they had many adventures, moving to Herriman and building a home. Camping, fishing, and hunting trips were their favorite pastimes. Charlene had four grandchildren, Tony, Trevor, Casey, and Tory.
Gary built Charlene a salon in their home where she worked for many years, making many longtime friends.
Her sense of humor was second to none, sadly she has suffered with dementia for the last decade.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her; there will be many loved ones waiting to greet her on the other side.
The family thanks Nat Pizzuto and Rita Atkinson for their friendship and care over the years. We also want to thank Abbington Assisted Living and Inspiration Hospice.
Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Valley View Memorial Park located at 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah.
