Charlene Wade Obituary

Charlene Richesin Wade, 88, of Woodward Ave, passed away Sunday, September 7th; at Decatur Wellness and Rehab Center in Decatur, TN.

Charlene was born on May 12,1937 in Sweetwater, TN to Samuel Clarence Richesin (Doub) and Candie Odella Kimsey Richesin. Charlene married James T. Wade (Jimmy) on April 3, 1954. They were married for 34 years at the time of Jimmy's death of June 21, 1988.

Charlene worked for several years at the hosiery mill and became a stay-at-home mom and later went back to work at Westinghouse. She was a member of North Athens Baptist Church and the Athenian Chapter No. 159 since 1960.

Charlene is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Kim Wade (Riceville TN), Danny James Wade (Athens TN), and a daughter Tammy Wade (David) Self (Old Hickory TN). She has 5 grandchildren, Skylinn Rickman, Christian Wade, Brian Self. Paige Kloby, and Kelly Bello. She has 3 great grandchildren, Madlin Lynn, Hayden Self, and Ava Gray Kloby.

Charlene has 2 living siblings, Marlene Davis and Wayne Richesin, and several nieces and nephews.

Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother (Douglas Richesin), and sister (Virginia Gregory).

The children have requested a private burial service.
