Charles "Charlie" Taylor Adcock, Jr. of
Kittrell, NC age 54 passed away on January 7, 2026. Charles Jr. was born in Franklin County, NC on November 2,1971. He graduated from Franklinton High School in 1990 and was employed by Celito and Premimer Communications.
Growing up Charles Jr. loved playing little league baseball and football. He loved to fish and go camping. As a teenager, Charles Jr. enjoyed hanging out with friends and being a typical adolescent. Charles Jr. was a passionate NASCAR fan and devoted Dale Earnhart follower. Richmond racetrack is where he met the love of his life Dedra, whom later became his devoted wife and soulmate. Charles Jr. enjoyed listening to music, cooking and mountain trips with Dedra. He also enjoyed playing cards with Dedra's family. Charles Jr. was a hardcore Carolina Tarheel and Dallas Cowboy fan.
Charles Jr. was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Breedlove Adcock. The true love of his life, wife Dedra Michelle Adcock and their unconditional loved English bulldog Rocky.
Charles Jr. is survived by his father Charles T. Adcock, Sr., his brother Rodney G. Adcock and his wife Robin; his Mother-in-law Barbara D. Jordan; his sister-in-law Stephanie J. Dullaghan and her husband Conor; his brother-in-law Thomas A. Jordan, and his stepchildren Colin V. Muffley and Emily M. Clark; his cousin Timmy Wilson and his wife Misty; his uncle Allen Adcock; his aunt Susan Klementowski; his cousins Amy Cheshire, Randy Kearney, and all of his buddies.
Visitation will be held at Bright Funeral Home on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 6-8pm. The funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, in the Bright Funeral Home Chapel. Acting as pallbearers are Gar Ayscue, Eric Coats, Mike Dickerson, Chad Garrett, "Tick" Hudgins and Dusty Morton.
He will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton.
