I was fortunate to be one of the initial students of Greenhouse in 1974.
I got to know Chuck as not just a teacher, but a caring and engaging individual.
I often credit Chuck, and the other individuals that established Greenhouse, with taking a risk on those that they believed had much to offer, even though they did not show that in the traditional systems.
In my eyes, he will always be remembered as a person who cared more about the futures of others than that of himself.

Im so so sorry to hear this. So many fun, crazy, memories with the entire Alessi family. Jayne, Mary, Anne and Liz , please know that Im thinking of you all. Chuck was quite a fun dad... and a big part of me growing up. Love you all, Margaret.
