Charles Anthony Ambrosia of Meridian, Idaho, known by most as "Charlie", died peacefully on May 21, 2024 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 19, 1942, Charlie was raised in Wichita, Kansas, where he graduated from Kaupan Catholic High School. After time spent at Kansas State University, he followed his father into the insurance business, establishing a career in Employee Benefits with The Hartford Insurance Company. Over the years Charlie's career moved him to Connecticut, Texas, Minnesota, and California. He retired in 2009 and moved to Idaho, where he lived with his wife, Susan, until his death. Charlie was an outdoor man, spending untold hours golfing and sailing with friends, skiing, camping and hiking with his family. He particularly time spent in the mountains of Colorado, California, and Idaho.
Charlie was proceeded in death by his mother, Annabelle Shea (Moynihan) Ambrosia, and father Anthony Charles "Andy" Ambrosia.
Charlie leaves behind his loving wife, Susan (Bemis) Ambrosia; daughters Teresa (Peter) Jensen, Ashley (Jeffrey) Fox, AnnDee (Andy) Beckerman; a son, Chase (Stephanie) Ambrosia; and grandchildren Bryn Bompass and Hope Jensen, Brandon, Lauren, and William Fox, Brady and Brylee Beckerman, and Grant, Henry, and Elle Ambrosia.
