Charles Michael Ault, 49, passed away on April 13, 2025, in Pensacola, Florida. Born on May 3, 1975, in the same city he called home throughout his life, Charles dedicated himself to serving his community and cherishing his family.
Charles served with honor as a Deputy Sheriff for Santa Rosa County. Through his work in law enforcement, he built lasting relationships and earned the respect of colleagues and citizens alike. Before his law enforcement career, he served in the United States Coast Guard. His commitment to public service reflected a deep sense of duty and integrity that touched the lives of many.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Judi Ault; his sons, Jace Ault and Caleb Norris (Kaci); and his sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Jim Snodgrass. Charles also leaves behind three nieces and one nephew; his extended family includes three stepsons and two daughters-in-law, Hunter and Chelsea Norris, Tyler and Roemy Kervin, and John Ryan McPhail; and three grandchildren. Charles was the beloved son of Joe and Lucy Ault and grandson of Teresa Ault. He also shared a close bond with his mother-in-law, Beverly Taylor.
Outside of his professional life, Charles found joy in the simple pleasures that brought people together. He was an avid fan of Auburn University football, proudly cheering on the Tigers each season. His love for music spanned all genres, a passion that added rhythm to his days and comfort to those around him.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Family-Funeral & Cremation, located at 5627 N. Davis Highway in Pensacola, Florida. The funeral service will follow immediately at the same location from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. A graveside service will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens at 7433 Pine Forest Road in Pensacola beginning at 1:00 PM.
Pallbearers include Johnny Wayne Wilson, Brian Middleton, Mario Purifoy, Roman Jackson, Jamie Arthur, and Scott Higginbothem.
Charles Michael Ault's legacy lives on through those who knew him best-his family, friends, colleagues, and community. May his memory bring comfort and strength to all who mourn his passing.
And to all of Mike's Auburn friends, "War Eagle!!!!"
