Susan Taylor Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 29, 2025.
Susan Goodman Taylor, of Navarre, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the age of 72. Born Susan Dale Goodman on July 8, 1953, in Knoxville, Tennessee, she married Colby Taylor in 1975. Together, they raised their daughter, Laura, and son, Gabe, with love and devotion.

Susan graduated from nursing school and went on to become a registered nurse, spending most of her career in pediatric oncology, where her compassion and dedication touched countless lives.

She had a lifelong love of animals and always shared her home with them. Her dogs were constant companions, and during the years she lived in Cody, Wyoming, she especially cherished her three horses - Colonel, Doc, and Blue - treating them like members of the family.

After moving to Florida, Susan found joy in the simple pleasures of life: walking along Navarre Beach in search of seashells, reading her favorite books, and gathering with loved ones around the table with home-cooked meals. Her home was always open and her kitchen always warm. Above all, Susan was a fierce defender of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Goodman; brother, Bill Goodman; and mother, Fay Goodman. She is survived by her husband, Colby Taylor; son, Gabe Taylor; daughter-in-law, JoAnna Maniscalco; daughter, Laura Taylor; son-in-law, John Mills; granddaughter, Vivian Taylor; grandson, Mark Howard; and grandson, John Mills Jr.

Susan will be remembered with love for her strength, her love, and fiery personality.
