Charles "Chuck" N. Ayers of Waukesha passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, August 16, 2021, at the age of 83. He was born in Newton, New Jersey on August 30, 1937, the son of John and Margaret (nee Hartman) Ayers. He proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard. Chuck worked as a steamfitter for over 30 years and was an active member of the UA Steamfitters Local 601 for more than 50 years. He was an active member of St. Matthias Episcopal Church where he served as an usher and was a member of The Vestry. Chuck loved cars and was a member of the Waukesha Old Car Club. He found enjoyment in fishing, swimming, working in his yard, playing Sudoku and cribbage, but most of all he loved the time he was with his family.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of almost 61 years, Patricia (nee Conrow) and their children, Susan (Thomas) Tynes, William (Michelle) Ayers and Dianne (Tony) Larson. He was the proud grandfather of Lauren Tynes (fiancé Eric Randleman), Kelsey Tynes, William Ayers Jr., Charles Ayers, Emma Ayers, Kylee Larson and Tanner Larson. He is further survived by his sister Carol Maultsby, sister-in-law Sara (Jim) Ritter, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Ayers.

A time to gather and celebrate Chuck's life will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at St. Matthias Episcopal Church. 111 E. Main Street, Waukesha, WI 53186 with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. memorial service. MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT CHURCH. Inurnment will take place in the church columbarium. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Matthias Episcopal Church or the American Heart Association, 1555 N. RiverCenter Dr. Suite 211, Milwaukee, WI 53212.
