Charles "Chuck" Beets, Jr., 48, of Little Rock, passed away October 13, 2022. Born in Natchitoches, Louisiana, he was a bartender at Samantha's Tap Room and The Faded Rose. He loved his job serving customers, getting to know so many people and developing life-long friendships through his work. Chuck loved the outdoors and fishing. He was an avid LSU Tigers fan and loved rubbing that in when talking with his Arkansas family and friends.
He is survived by his partner, Lea Bray; his mother, Kathy McLeod (James); sister, Teresa Beets Grandon (Chris); niece, Kristen Wilbanks; nephew, Zac Grandon; bonus mom, Susan Beets, and other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles H. Beets, Sr., and his grandparents.
Chuck fiercely loved his niece and nephew and his great-nieces and great-nephews and was always present in their lives. His last act of service to others was donating his organs and tissue to ARORA so others may benefit from our tremendous loss.
A Celebration of Chuck's life will be held on Wednesday, October 19 from 5-7 p.m. at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. Because of his love for animals, it is suggested that memorials be made to any local organization that rescues and provides care for animals.
