CHARLES TYRONE BOATWRIGHT
ABBEVILLE… Charles Tyrone Boatwright, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, passed away Sunday morning, January 26, 2025, at his home. He was 73.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 31, 2025, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Pastor Jamie Danzey officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Boatwright was born in Henry County, Alabama to the late Charlie Boatwright and Ina Hamilton Boatwright. He was a 1969 graduate of the Henry County Training School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked at West Point-Pepperell when he returned from the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Mary Magdalene Baptist Church in Abbeville, Alabama.
Leaving to cherish his memories is his nephews, Allen Ray, Jr., John Boatwright, Douglas Boatwright and Jackie Martin; his niece, Paula Boatwright Johnson; his special cousins, Ann Davis, Mary Oates, Jennifer Davis King, and Leonard Davis; his aunt, Ottie Hamilton; his host of relatives and friends; and his caregivers, Geniva Smith, and Derrick Crawford.
