Charles Wendell Bramlett

Charles "Rusty" Wendell Bramlett, age 82 of Rock Spring, Georgia passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born in Tunnel Hill, Georgia on April 1, 1943, and resided in the North Georgia Area all his life. Rusty proudly served and retired from the United States Army National Guard after twenty-three years of honorable service. He also retired from DuPont Corporation as a fire marshal after forty years. Rusty was an avid Civil War Historian and a published author. He had written countless short stories and three books including his most popular, "Another Future". Above all, his greatest love was his family, as his most cherished time was spent with his loving wife, Diane, his children and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William F. Bramlett and Maxine Stapp Bramlett.
Rusty is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Diane Williams Bramlett; children, Tara (Ron) Masterson, Dewayne Bramlett, Denise George, Sandy (Josh) Shelton, Charles "Chuck" (Jessica) Bramlett Jr.; brothers, Vernon (Diane) Bramlett, Verlin (Linda) Bramlett, Steve (Marsha) Bramlett, Fred (Lois) Bramlett; grandchildren, Natalie George, Hannah George, Chloe Bramlett, Savannah Porter, Charles "Charlie" Wendell Bramlett III, Bram Coontz, Robyn Bramlett and Noah Bramlett, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in the Wilson Funeral Homes Wallis ~ Stewart Chapel with Chaplain Steve Moore officiating. Ron Masterson, Josh Shelton, Chuck Bramlett, Dewayne Bramlett, Mike Bramlett, Kelly Sherrill, Scott Poe, Gary Bateman, and Gerald Clayton will serve as pallbearers.
