Mrs. Loretta Williams Stanley

Mrs. Loretta Williams Stanley, 88, of Ringgold, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 30, 2025. A lifelong resident of Ringgold, Mrs. Loretta was a devoted member of Ringgold United Methodist Church and the F.O.B. Sunday School Class. She was a 1954 graduate of Ringgold High School, where she played on the girls' basketball team. For many years, she was employed with Provident Insurance Company before her retirement, after which she continued working part-time at Price Ringgold Drug. Mrs. Loretta enjoyed shopping, watching NASCAR, and traveling with family and friends. She especially loved trips to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, to attend car shows, and to Nashville for Fan Fair. Above all, her greatest joy was time spent with her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Terri Stanley; her parents, Holbert Nelson and Lucile Cook Williams; her sister, Barbara Williams Hackett; brothers, Edward Leon Williams and Thomas Doyle Williams; and nephew, Joseph Williams Hackett. She is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, Charles William (Red) Stanley; brother-in-law, Pete Hackett; sisters-in-law, Jan Williams and Ann Childers; cousin, Lynn Williams Yates; as well as five nieces and nephews, fifteen great-nieces and nephews, and twenty-six great-great-nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Ringgold United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary with Pastor Sally Ensley, Pastor Steve Moore, and Garry Knowles officiating.
