Christopher Lee Brown Sr., 75, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025. Born in 1950, Chris spent his entire life in the Ringgold area, where he was known for his strong work ethic and deep devotion to his family and friends. Above all, Chris was a dedicated provider-his family's well-being was always his first priority. After graduating from Ringgold High School, Chris proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Following his service, he completed an apprenticeship for steamfitters, leading to his work with Tennessee Valley Authority. He later earned his mechanical contractor license and went on to own and operate his own HVAC company for more than 25 years, building a reputation for honesty, quality work, and dedication to his customers. He took great pride in teaching and guiding his son in the trade, passing on not only his skills but also his integrity and strong work ethic. In his younger years, Chris was an active member of the Future Farmers of America, an experience that helped fuel his lifelong passion for farming. A devoted steward of the land, he found joy in gardening, raising cattle for beef, stocking his pond and sharing that way of life with his children and grandchildren. His farm and garden were more than places of work-they were gathering spots for teaching, storytelling, and creating cherished memories. Chris also enjoyed fishing, watching movies, and spending time with those he loved most. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy Brown and Clara Dean, his sister, Debbie Walthour, and his nephew Lee Parrish. Chris is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sandi; his children, Stephanie (Jason) Bone, Crystal (Jay) Ferro, Melissa (Todd) Harbort, and Christopher Lee Brown Jr.; his grandchildren, Dylan Bone, Ava Bowman, Kali Hale, Jules Harbort, Willow Harbort, Mason Harbort, and Siera Harbort; his great-grandchildren, Beckham Hale and Maelei Revis; and his nieces and nephew Jennifer, Cathy, Camie, and Leo. Christopher's life was defined by his dedication to family, his love for life's simple pleasures, and his unwavering work ethic. He loved to "piddle"-always fixing something, working on his property, or casting a line. Whether tending his land, running his business, or lending a helping hand, Chris approached every task with care, purpose, and pride. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the love he gave, and the countless quiet moments he cherished with those who meant the most to him. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, at Pine Grove Cemetery, with Neal Brown officiating.
