Charles Steven Breece Jr.

Charles Steven Breece, Jr., 69 of Gladwin, died Wednesday evening, January 28, 2026, at his home. He was born November 17, 1956, in Detroit, son of the late Charles Steven and Lula Mae (Getz) Breece, Sr. Steven grew up in Gladwin and attended Gladwin Schools.

The last 14 years he lived with the Stroup family of Mt. Pleasant. He had a passion for loud music and fast cars, Ozzy was a favorite of his. Steven enjoyed going to concerts, car shows, Tiger games, and had a passion for McDonald's French fries.

He is survived by his children, Charles Steven Breece, III, Lucretia (Brian) Goan, Jason Breece, all of Gladwin, and Jared (Heather) Breece of Freeland. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren: a brother Chris Breece of Wolverine, and caregivers, Jody and Mark.

Funeral services for Steve will take place 1 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026, from the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 West Wheeler Street with Pastor John Pohanka officiating. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of the service.
