Charles "Buddy" Larkin Bean, 89, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 12, 1936, to Katherine Tate Bean and Vernon Hudson Bean Sr.
Buddy proudly served in the Navy. He worked as a welder at PPG, where he retired. He was an avid gun collector and loved the outdoors, especially deer hunting and fishing. Buddy most of all enjoyed spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memories are daughters, Jody Bean Vince, Jana Bean Lyons and husband Joe and Kim Bean Guidry and husband Jody; grandchildren, Brandon Gallegos, Brady Gallegos, Brittany Broussard, Dustin Broussard and wife Hayli, Travis Lyons, Annie Brentlinger and husband Geoff and Kallie Parria and husband Gavin; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Linda Parker; brother, Vernon Bean "Jr"; and the Gator Gun Family.
He is preceded in passing by his parents and brother, Glenn Roy Bean.
A memorial service will take place at 12 PM, Saturday January 17, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Home in Sulphur, Louisiana. Visitation will begin from 9:00 till time of service.
