Charles F. Burns, 74, a native and resident of Galliano, passed away at home Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
He is survived by his daughter Erika Burns Authement (Jr); grandson, Daniel Jessie Wilkerson; great-granddaughter, Brynn Marie Wilkerson; sisters, Patricia Goodwin, Billie Joyce Sprinkle.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents Jessie and Margret Seward; brother, Johnny Burns; Sister, Frances Burns.
Charles lived in Galliano but was also a long time resident of Leeville, La and Coden, Alabama. He was born in Heron Bay, Alabama. For his whole life he was a trawler and fisherman and enjoyed every minute of it. He would spend most of his afternoons outside whether it was cutting grass or spending time with any animal who became friendly.
Per Mr. Charles’ wishes there will be no services held.
