Charles Campbell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beasley-Wood/Geyer-Quillin Funeral Home - Mena on Sep. 16, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Charles "Charlie" Douglas Campbell, 85, of Ink, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 15, 2025. He was born on April 21, 1940, in Warsaw, New York, to Robert James Campbell and Doris Blanche Shepard Campbell.

Charlie was a hardworking dairy farmer who, together with his father and brothers, owned and operated Campbell's Dairy. After his years of farming, he established Double "C" Transportation, a business he built with the same dedication and strong work ethic that shaped his life. Even in later years, Charlie never slowed down. He continued working until the age of 85, finishing his career by running a rural mail route-a role he carried out with pride, dependability, and a steady spirit that was deeply appreciated by all those he served. Fittingly, his life came full circle as he went from delivering milk to delivering the mail. Above all, Charlie was deeply loved by his family, treasured by his friends, and admired and respected throughout his community.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Campbell; sons, David Campbell, Richard Campbell (Lisa), Bernard Campbell (Betty), Kevin Campbell (Tiny), and Kyle Campbell; daughter, Trina Logan (Christopher); and brother, Arlyn Campbell (Jane).

Charlie was blessed with many grandchildren: Zachary Campbell (Harley), Lindzy Henry (Dale), Donnally Davis (J.R.), Derek Campbell (Anna), Jason Hogan, Bernice Hembree (Bryan), Bellissa Young-Wilde, Ayla Perkins (Rusty), Tim Walston, Ethan Campbell (Lauren), Ashley Driscoll (Tieler), Shawn Paul Adams, and Devin Adams (Andy). His great-grandchildren include Aiden Campbell, Genevieve Campbell, Campbell Grace Davis, Bergen Hembree, Douglas Young, Madilyne Young, Noah Young, Campbell Kate Perkins, Ryan Walston, Claire Walston, Brenin Henry, Phoenix Driscoll, Elly Driscoll, Lukas Driscoll, Payton Adams, Maci Adams, Tate Adams, Grayce Phillips (Daniel), Gage Campbell, Rhett Campbell, and Ryder Campbell. He was further blessed with one great-great-grandchild, Kohen Ray Phillips.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Doris Campbell; daughter, Vickie Lynn Marie Campbell; brother, Mark Campbell; daughter-in-law, Teresa Campbell; and grandchildren, Bridgette Campbell and Matthew Walston.

Visitation for Mr. Campbell will take place on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Beasley-Wood Funeral Home Chapel, under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Concord Cemetery in Ink, Arkansas, with his grandson, Derek Campbell, and Brother Wade Mayberry officiating.
