MILDRED LYNN (CROW) BREWER

Born on Sept 14, 1936 Bokoshe, Le Flore County, OK

Died on Sept 1, 2025, Hatfield, Polk County, AR

Mildred was product of her time, being the daughter of a Baptist deacon and growing up on a family farm where everyone helped with the work. She learned at an early age what it took to create a happy home and when she met her future husband not long after finishing high school, they married in Jan 1957. She put those homemaking skills to good use supporting her husband's career in the US Navy as well as raising their 3 boys in a good Christian home. Being the wife of a career Navy Petty Officer, the family moved several times during Jack's career and Mildred always made new lifelong friends at every new duty station they arrived at.

Mildred was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hatfield, AR until her health had started to deteriorate in the last couple of years. She had been active for many years in the church's outreach program of serving meals to church members and the community, only stepping down to care for her husband when he was fighting cancer. She was well liked in the community of Hatfield, having lived there from 1974 when her husband retired from the US Navy and decided to return to his hometown of Hatfield.

Mildred loved to raise a garden and plant flowers. Her yard was a bouquet of colors every spring and in the years following the family's return to the Hatfield area in 1974, she always had a garden full of healthy vegetables while Jack, always the hunter, put meat on the table during the hunting season and fish from local ponds and rivers in the summer.

Mildred and Jack were blessed with 3 sons; Landon Eugene Brewer, age 67, residing in Ridgecrest, CA; Michael John Brewer, age 60, residing in the family home in Hatfield, AR; and Daniel Wesley Brewer, age 57, residing with his wife in Maryville, TN. Mildred was doubly blessed with 2 granddaughters, Amber Nicole (Brewer) Jesmer, Megan Danielle (Brewer) Dickens, both currently residing in Maryville, TN and 2 great grandsons, Lucas and Logan, by Amber and her husband Matthew Jesmer.

After a full life, Mildred went to be with her husband Jack on Monday the 1st of September 2025, passing quietly on the way to the hospital after complaining of shortness of breath. She was proceeded in death by her husband LANDON JOHN (JACK) BREWER, JR (d. 2008), her brother JAMES LOUIS CROW (d. 2017) and her parents LOUIS ELBA CROW (d. 1984) and PAULINE RUTH HARDT (d. 1980)

Services for Mrs. Mildred Lynn Brewer will be held, Monday, September 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Brother Barry Goodwin will be officiating under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Interment will take place at the Six Mile Cemetery in Hatfield, Arkansas.
