In Loving Memory of Dianna Mae Lockhart
October 21, 1949 – February 20, 2026
Dianna Mae Lockhart-beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher, and friend-entered into eternal rest surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, February 20, 2026. Born on October 21, 1949, in
Phoenix, Arizona, to Ethel Ruby and Herman G. Stone, Dianna lived a life marked by faith, kindness, joy, and deep devotion to those she loved.
At just 16 years old, Dianna married the love of her life, James Dale Lockhart. Their love story spanned decades and stood as a beautiful example of commitment and partnership. Together, they built a full and meaningful life, eventually settling in
Mena, Arkansas, where they raised their children, Russell and Hollie, and planted roots that would grow into generations.
Dianna had a heart especially made for children. That calling led her back to school to earn her degree in elementary education. In 1981, she began her career at Louise Durham Elementary, where she taught first grade for 25 years. Her classroom was more than a place of learning-it was a place of warmth, laughter, encouragement, and love. Dianna didn't just teach lessons; she shaped hearts, leaving a lasting impact on countless students and families.
A faithful member of Dallas Avenue Baptist Church, Dianna lived her faith daily and sincerely. She didn't just attend church-she lived out her love for Christ in how she served others. One of her greatest joys was Vacation Bible School, especially arts and crafts, where her creativity and gentle spirit shined brightly. Jesus was always at the forefront of every aspect of her life.
Dianna found happiness in life's simple pleasures-shopping trips(Joy Rides with her Hollie and Grands), yard sales, holiday traditions, and Sunday dinners surrounded by family. She had a gift for making every gathering feel special and every person feel valued. Her home was a place of comfort, her table always full, and her thoughtfulness known through her cooking, gifts, and quiet acts of love, especially through her "prizes and treats" for her grands!
Of all the titles she held, her favorite was "Gigi." To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was the heart of the family-a constant source of love, fun, wisdom, and reassurance. She adored them endlessly, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Dianna is proceeded in death by her husband, James Dale Lockhart.
Dianna is survived by her loving children and their spouses, Russell and Jill Lockhart, and Hollie and Michael Montgomery; her precious grandchildren Olivia Ward (Connor), Autumn Lockhart, Keala Montgomery (Faith), and Brady Montgomery; her beloved great-grandchildren Maizie Ruth, Brinsen, Brexten, and Graham; along with extended family and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Dianna lived a life full of grace, service, and unwavering love. She gave freely, loved fiercely, and left behind a legacy of faith and family that will continue for generations. She would want you to know, you could see her again one day if your faith and love is in Jesus Christ! Her prayer was that all of her family and friends would come to Him for salvation and everlasting life. (John 3:16)
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
Matthew 25:23
