Mrs. Myra Faye Brasel, aged 83, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at her home. Myra was born May 26, 1942, in Enterprise, Alabama to Thomas Theodore Cason and Ethel Mae Marchman Cason.

Myra was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a Christian and loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She completely adored her only son. Myra loved playing pranks and joking with the family and friends. She was the very best storyteller, and loved shopping, playing card games, and dominos. She was known to be very competitive. Myra knew her way around the kitchen and was always taking care of everyone else.

Mrs. Myra Faye Brasel is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mowdy; ex-husband, John Brasel; son, Bobby Martin; sister, Ruth Barnes; brother, Thomas Cason; mother, Ethel Marchman; father, Thomas Cason; grandfather, Ollie Marchman; and by her grandmother, Ruth Marchman. She is survived by her stepson, Joey Brasel and wife Libby; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Martin; grandchildren, Lindsey Martin, Megan Carnahan and husband Trevor, Brittany Zacarias, Cody Cogburn and wife Sasha, Kassidy Brasel, Labecca Brasel, and Shianna Brasel; great-grandchildren, Madison Bissell and husband Bradlee, Kyler Parnell and fiancée Calee Puckett, Kaylea Parnell, Amaya Zacarias, Lucas Zacarias, Roman Zacarias, Cooper Cogburn, Kip Cogburn, Avery, Olivia, Liam, Tamsyn Allen, Hayze, Kade, Maddy; great-great-grandchild, Westyn Parnell; as well as by a host of other family and friends too numerous to mention.

Graveside services for Mrs. Myra Faye Brasel will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 27, 2026, at Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Mena, Arkansas. Brother Ron Tilley will be officiating under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will be general.
