Charles "Charlie" R. Canfield, 63, of Lakeview, OH passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday evening, November 4, 2025.
Charles was born on April 1, 1962, in Kenton, OH, a son of the late Rex Canfield and Donna (Dawson) Canfield, who survives in rural Belle Center, OH. Charlie is also survived by his brother, Steve (Kristi) Canfield of Sistersville, WV, seven nieces and nephews, Trenton Canfield, Kelly (Kelly) Dickens, Jamie Roberts, Lauren Clark, Ethan Clark, Cole Canfield, and Kara Canfield, great niece and nephews, Averi Canfield, Grayson Canfield, and Parker Canfield, and a special aunt, Dianne Knipp.
Charlie was a 1980 graduate of Upper Scioto Valley High School. He worked at Honda Transmission in Russells Point, OH and retired in 2011. Charlie was a member of Sons of Amvets Post #39, Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533, and Indian Lake Eagles Aeries #3615. Charlie volunteered for various organizations and gave his time freely. He was an avid reader and enjoyed studying history. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, birdwatching, and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Guardians.
Pastor John Foster will begin funeral services at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview. Visitation is Friday, November 7th from 5-7 pm, and Saturday from 10-11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Amvets Post #39 Community Charities or Logan County Public Library- Lakeview Branch.
Arrangements are in the care of Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview, OH. Condolences may be expressed at shoffstallfuneralhome.com.
