Dennis Ray Thornsberry, Sr., 60, of Lakeview, OH, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Doctors Hospital, Columbus, OH.

Dennis was born on January 4, 1965, in Upper Sandusky, OH, a son of the late Tilden Ray Thornsberry and Mary Ann Gallimore Figel. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

Dennis is survived by his life partner, Joyce Smith, three children, Dennis Ray Thornsberry Jr. of Sidney, OH, Dylan James (Shianne) Thornsberry of Wichita Falls, TX, and Tabitha (Scottie) McMillen of Belle Center, OH, 10 grandchildren, Clayton, Maria, Cody, Calvin, Adeline, Jeice, Olivia, Koen, Daryen, and Madelyn, seven siblings, Tamme Posada of St. Marys, OH, Doug Thornsberry of Willshire, OH, Darin Figel, and Tori Thornsberry, both of Van Wert, OH, Michelle Gilpin of Holland, MI, Stacey Hollida and Tracey Anderson, His dog, Scooby, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Dennis had worked at Honda Transmission Manufacturing in Russells Point since 2010. He was a member of Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533. Dennis was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, and Cleveland Browns. He was a collector of many things, and enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing, gardening, and being at cookouts with his family and friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Dennis's family c/o Shoffstall Funeral Home.

Arrangements are in the care of Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview, OH. Condolences may be expressed at shoffstallfuneralhome.com.
