Charles Stephen Castloo, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away painlessly on July 18, 2025 doing things he loved, at the age of 65. Born on December 31, 1959, Charles lived a life deeply defined by his generosity, kindness and unwavering dedication to his friends and family. For nearly seventy years, he touched an innumerable amount of lives with his willingness to help others, often giving selflessly with no thought of a return.

As a father, Charles was extraordinary—providing the appropriate guidance, patience, love and support that shaped his children into the men they became. His role as a grandfather was one of his greatest joys, as he cherished every moment with his grandchildren, creating memories only he could create with them.

Charles was known broadly for his sense of humor, generous spirit and consistently helpful hands. Friends, neighbors and family could always count on him in times of need as he embodied the virtues of compassion and service to others.

He is survived by his son, Christopher Stephen Castloo; daughter-in-law, Amanda Castloo; and grandchildren, Corben Castloo, Melanie Seaman-Denson, Griffen S. Castloo, and Hudson S. Castloo. Charles also leaves behind his siblings, Catherine Castloo-Knight, Timothy Castloo, Daniel (CJ) Castloo, Cynthia Castloo, and Jennifer (John) Beitter, along with many nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends whose lives he enriched.

Charles was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Stephen Castloo; his mother, Angela Castloo; and his father, Joseph Stephen Castloo, Jr.

A visitation will be held on August 9, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 4:00 PM. Both services will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St. Peters, MO 63376.

Charles will be remembered not only for his steadfast love and devotion to his family but also for the kindness he showed to all he met. His legacy will continue through the lives he touched and the memories he created.
