Charles "Chuck" H Lorensberg

Charles “Chuck” H. Lorensberg, 84 of Windfall died early Monday morning December 15, 2025 at Century Villa in Greentown. He was born in Webster, South Dakota on April 11, 1941 to Carl and Hazel Lorensberg. Chuck married Polly J. Miller on July 5, 1968, spending over 57 years in matrimony.

Chuck worked at Delco in Kokomo as an electrician. He and Polly attended Windfall Christian Church for many years. He was proud to be a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. Chuck enjoyed hunting and fishing, taking trips back to South Dakota where he grew up. He was very skillful with his hands as he created many custom knives from various woods and metals. His sports focus was on the I.U. basketball team and he was an avid fan of the Colts and Vikings football teams.

Chuck served his county in the Navy and had served as Post Commander of the American Legion in the past. Many memories were made over several years as Chuck and Polly would winter in Holiday, Florida.

Survivors include his wife, Polly; daughter Tara York and granddaughters Ravin and Danin York. Siblings include his sisters Arlette and Vonnie. Chuck was preceded in death by his sisters Dolly, Leona and a brother Gene.

Funeral services will be on Friday, December 19 at 11:00 A.M. at the Windfall Christian Church with Rev. Josh Borum presiding. Burial with military rites will follow at Brookside Cemetery. Visitation will also be at the church on Friday beginning at 10:00.
