Charles "Chuck" Clinton Williamson, 75, passed away on June 18, 2024, at Advent Health Rollins Brook Hospital in Lampasas, TX. He was born on March 26, 1949, in Fort Worth, Texas to CJ and Nell Rush Williamson.
Services will be held at Grace Fellowship Church in Lampasas on Saturday, June 22 at 11 am with visitation an hour prior. Interment will follow with military honors at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Chuck grew up in San Antonio, TX. He graduated from Lee High School in San Antonio in 1967. After high school, he worked EMS for several years and joined the US Army on August 5, 1969, serving for 23 years. Chuck served in Vietnam and Desert Storm and was the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal and numerous other awards. He officially retired in 1992, achieving the rank of CW4. He then began work for the State of Texas as a Social worker where he worked for 22 years, retiring in 2014.
Chuck was also dedicated to his community of Lampasas. He served on the Lampasas Parks Board from 1992-2014, the CIP Board from 2007-2024, and was a current City Council Member where he started serving in 2014.
Chuck married Deb on May 29, 1971, in Euless, TX. They were happily married for 53 years. He enjoyed bird watching, reading, shooting firearms at the range, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, CJ and Nell Williamson.
Survivors include his spouse, Deb of Lampasas, TX; his daughter, Jennifer Beasley (Rudy Rodriguez); his son, Charles (Julie) Williamson of Lubbock, TX; his grandchildren, Shelby (Brandon) Burton of Burnet, TX, Chad Williamson and Allie Williamson of Lubbock, TX; his great-grandchild, Emma Burton, and numerous other loving relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Tunnel to Towers or St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.
