David grew up in Lampasas, Texas. During his life, David was an avid carpenter with many skills. He always took pride in working hard. If he wasn't rearranging the house, he was adding something on. He loved to fish and spend time with his family. Family was his drive. Not just his wife and kids, but his nieces and nephews as well. David was the type to be the first to lend a hand when anyone was in need. David married Jessica Dalton on January 25, 2015, and they were happily married for 10 years and shared 4 beautiful children.
David is survived by his spouse, Jessica Dalton of Lampasas; his daughter, Kelsey (Trey) Johnson; his sons, Levi Welch, Trevor Welch and Waylon Welch all of Lampasas; his father, Larry Stratton of Blanco; his mother, Bonnie Harrell and Conrad Magana of Lampasas; his brothers, Jesse Welch and Bobby Stratton and sister, Natasha Stratton of Blanco.
