Charles Thomas Cizewski, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home in San Tan Valley, Arizona, on October 25, 2024, at the age of 72. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Charles was the youngest of three boys, cherished by his family and raised in Redford, Michigan, where he graduated from Redford Union High School.
A dedicated service engineer at Testek, Charles spent decades traveling the world, experiencing its wonders and collecting special treasures to share with his children, Andria Peek (Mathew) and Michael (Lindsay). His passion for cars, particularly Corvettes, was a hallmark of his life, reflecting his adventurous spirit.
In addition to his professional achievements, Charles proudly served in the National Guard, demonstrating his commitment to his country and community. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard (Butch) Cizewski, Father Richard E. Cizewski, Mother Adele (Cizewski) Grizbek, and bonus daughter Kathy Coleman.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Diane Cizewski; daughter Andria and her husband Mathew; son Michael and his wife Lindsay; brother George (Joanne) Cizewski; beloved dog Jake; grandsons Ethan and Landon Peek, Jaxon Cizewski; bonus children Karen (Eric) Watson and Eddie Coleman; and bonus grandchildren Olivia and Luke Watson and Alyssa Coleman, who brought him immense pride as she pursued her studies at Arizona State University.
In Arizona, Charles and Diane fulfilled their dream of building a beautiful home, creating a warm and inviting space that embraced the stunning desert landscape. They cherished vacation adventures with their grandkids, exploring destinations like Disney and Las Vegas, and enjoyed traveling with cousins Barb and Ed to Laughlin.
A Mass will be held at St. Pat's in Brighton, Michigan, followed by a reception at Oak Pointe Country Club in Brighton on November 26, 2024. Further service details, including times and addresses, will be announced later.
Charles will be remembered for his unwavering love for family, his zest for life, and his generous spirit. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
