Charles Phillip Clark of Oklahoma City passed away peacefully at his home on July 7, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family. Known affectionately as Phil to his family and friends, Charlie to colleagues, and lovingly nicknamed “Charlie Potato,” “Clark Bar,” and “Pappy,” he left a legacy of laughter, service, and deep devotion.

Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Helen and Raleigh “Salty” Clark, Phil graduated from Tulsa Central High School. He later attended the University of Oklahoma where he was a proud member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity where he established a brotherhood of lifelong friendships while earning a degree in Journalism. This is when his love for Sooner football began and he rarely missed an OU-Texas weekend, often joining his Sooner friends in spirited celebration, win or lose.

Phil’s career began in radio advertising in Tulsa, where he cleverly handed out Clark bars in place of business cards. He found his calling in commodities and securities trading, forging decades-long relationships across the cattle and oil industries. He retired in 2023 from Hilltop Securities in Oklahoma City, where he cherished his colleagues as family.

Phil met the love of his life, Sharon, in the 7th grade, with whom he shared 63 wonderful years of marriage, often referring to her as “the love of my life.” Together they raised three daughters—Kim, Kristy, and Connie to whom he devoted his life with unwavering love, humor, and pride.

Known for his quick wit and elaborate holiday costumes, Phil never met a stranger. He was a skilled prankster and storyteller, always bringing joy to those around him.

An avid golfer and outdoorsman, Phil proudly served as president of Quail Creek Golf & Country Club (1980–1981). He loved animals, kept an impressive yo-yo collection from his childhood championship days, and took great pride in his well-manicured yard.

A man of deep faith, Phil served his church through premarital counseling and by ministering communion to shut-ins—always with humility and warmth.

Phil is survived by his devoted wife, Sharon; his daughters Kim Fuller (Robert), Kristy Stevens, and Constance Miller (Steven); his brother Roger (Joyce), grandchildren; Mary Margaret, Seth, Buck, Anne Marie, Kylie, Madeline, and Brittany; great-grandchildren Mary Powell, Margaret Joy, Rhett, Annie, Dottie, and Kaiser.

His was a life well-lived—full of love, laughter, and purpose. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Mass of Christian Burial for Phil Clark will be celebrated on Tuesday 7/15/2025 at 11:00 am at St. Eugene Catholic Church in the Village.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to:

St. Eugene's Catholic Church: 2400 W. Hefner Rd., Oklahoma City, OK 73120

Center of Family Love: 635 Texas Avenue, Okarche, OK 73762.
