Charles Davis

Charles Calvin Davis, 77, a resident of Abiquiu, NM,  passed away on March 2, 2026. Charles was born in Hartford, Connecticut and moved to New Mexico as a child. Charles was a loving, kind, and generous husband, father, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working on cars, and spending time at the casinos with his wife. Charles loved learning about new things and loved passing down the knowledge that learned.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents Calvin and Betty Davis, his parents in law Gabriel and Corina Gallegos, his sister-in-law Mary Eve Martinez (Juan Duran), brother-in-law Pancho (Juanita) Gallegos.

Charles is survived by his loving wife Perla Davis, his sons Nicolas Gallegos and Cruz Gallegos (Ana), his special nephew Pablo Lujan (Holly), his special niece Karen Duran Suazo (Joseph). His grandchildren Amber Gallegos (baby girl), Korina and Martin Gallegos, Shaniya Lujan, Xavier Gallegos and Jude Gallegos. His special nieces and nephew Tayler, Megan and Nathaniel Suazo. His brother Gary Davis (Laura) and his sister Diana Ducks (Bob). His brother-in-law Lupe Gallegos (Delfina) and sister-in-law Pablita Lujan. Along with numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends that he held dear in his heart.

The family of Charles Davis would like to also extend a special thank you and their deepest of gratitude’s to Casitas Senior Living for their loving and devoted care. They will hold a special place in the heart of the family of Charles Davis forever.

Services for Charles Davis are provided by DeVargas Funeral Home on Thursday, March 12, 2026, with a Wake Service at 6:00 pm. 

On Friday, March 13, 2026, Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Abiquiu, NM, at 11:00 am.
