Charles Steven "Chuck" Devore Jr., known affectionately as "Pepaw" by those who loved him most, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025, in
Plant City, Florida, at the age of 61. Born on November 1, 1963, in Texarkana, Texas, Chuck was the cherished son of the late Charles Steven Devore and Katherine Buck.
Chuck's life was a testament to the love and dedication he had for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Barr Devore, and their loving children, Crystal (Freddy) Camacho, Sabrina Loggens, Kimberly McCord and son in law, Dennis Felker Sr. His legacy continues through his siblings, Kirk Devore and John Devore, and his adored grandchildren, Robert, Shanna Haney, Jennifer, Anthony, Jacob Schmittling, Jesse (Dillon) Scheilving, Tiffany (Christopher) Caldwell, Dennis and Brandy (DJ) Felker, Austin Felker, Breanna Warmon, and Siena Warmon. Chuck was predeceased by his grandsons, Dale "Diddle" Calding and James Felker, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
A hardworking man, Chuck spent his career as a laborer in ironwork, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dependability. His colleagues respected him for his dedication and the pride he took in his craft. Outside of work, Chuck's passion for motorcycles, especially Harley Davidsons, was well known. He was not only an enthusiast but also a skilled mechanic, often spending hours tinkering with engines and sharing his knowledge with others.
Chuck's interests were diverse, but above all, he cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His presence at family gatherings was always a source of joy and comfort. His love for his family was evident in every action, from the biggest gestures to the smallest acts of kindness.
Those who knew Chuck will remember him as a loving, devoted, lovable, and dependable man. His laughter and warm spirit could light up a room, and his generous nature made him a friend to many. Chuck's life was a reflection of the values he held dear-family, hard work, and the simple pleasures of life.
As we bid farewell to Chuck, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love and cherished moments. His memory will be held in the hearts of those who knew him, and his influence will continue to be felt through the lives of his family and friends.
