Charles A. Dickens (76) of Waterflow, NM passed away January 21, 2024, at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, NM. Charlie was born to Chuck and Lorraine Dickens on February 10, 1947, in Farmington, NM.
Charlie was an impressive guy. He grew up in Shiprock, NM and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Waterflow, NM. He was working for Shell Oil when he met his wife, Sharon. Charlie followed her to Denver when Shell closed shop in Farmington and convinced her to marry him there. Somehow, he persuaded her to move back to Waterflow and help his dad Chuck run Big Rock Trading Post. He ran Big Rock with his wife Sharon for over 50 years. He raised three great kids and was blessed with three wonderful grandsons. He had several good dogs, enjoyed riding horses, playing cards and chatting with his customers. Big Rock was where he spent most of his time and he loved it. He was always a hard worker and provided a great life for his family. He enjoyed any time spent with family and was very close with his brother and sisters. Charlie worked with his brother-in-law John for many years and his brother Dick after he retired. He was also a member of the Elks Club, The Lions Club, and was on the Waterflow Community Hall committee.
He was preceded in death by his parents Chuck and Lorraine Dickens, brothers Carter Dickens and John Beshara (brother-in-law), sisters Cheryle Beshara, and Janeane Dickens (sister-in-law).
