Charles Douglas Bell, one of four children born to the late Ronald Coleman Bell and Estelle Marie Midget Bell, was called home on November 16, 2021, at Saint Michael's Hospital in Newark, NJ.
Charles was born in Alliance, NC and resided in Bayboro, NC during his youth and partial adulthood. He received his education through the Bayboro School District.
Charles found success at sea as a deep sea fisherman. He was always a hardworking man. His ventures did not stop there, he worked in construction, landscaping, car renovation and home remodeling.
Anyone could tell you how kind he was; an individual loved by many, adventurous and outgoing. He led a life with no fear, making friends wherever he went.
Charles leaves to live on in his memory, his wife of thirty-four loving years Gina Marie Burwell Bell. During his lifetime, Charles had one wife who predeceased him.
Charles is survived by: his mother, Estelle Marie Midget Bell; his brothers, Cleve Frazier, Ronald Coleman Bell Jr., Darren Frazier and Mitchell Frazier; three adult children, Taiesha Staniger, Michael Burwell and Charles Douglas Bell Jr.; seven grandchildren, Michael Harris, Zakkiyah Edwards, Draynell Edwards Jr., Devin Staniger, Jasmin Staniger, Sariyah Bell and Jazzmin Bell; six great grandchildren, Ka'shawn Robinson, Amari Edwards, Aaqil Harris, Alana Robinson, Faye Edwards and Alim Harris; along with a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Charles is predeceased by: one sister, Valerie Bell Jenkins; one great grandson, Alfred Robinson Jr.; one step brother, Michael Frazier; four uncles, John Hayward Bell, Jackie Bell, Truman Bell and Charles Simmons; and aunts through the years.
