Charles Draper Obituary
Charles Lee Draper, 55, Marion, passed away at 6:05 pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Kindred Hospital Indianapolis North in Indianapolis. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Saturday, April 11, 1970, to Lester and Carolyn (VanVactor) Draper. On June 2, 1995, he married Tammy Legg, and she survives.
Charles graduated from Marion High School and attended church at Morris Chapel. He loved Sunday morning breakfast with his group of men, his Tuesday evening cards(euchre) and Wednesday night marbles. He absolutely loved attending tractor shows, farm shows, classic car shows and car auctions. He had a cherished collection of John Deere tractors.
Along with his wife, Charles is also survived by his daughters, Katelyn Draper of Mesa, AZ, Airiel (Eric) Stepp of Marion, Rachel Cavins of Marion; granddaughters, Amaryllis Caldwell, Allyson Stepp; and grandson, Hunter Stepp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Carolyn Draper.
The family will receive visitors from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, January 9, 2026, as well as 1-hour prior to service on Saturday, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.
A funeral service to celebrate Charles' life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel. Pastor Mick Simpkins will be officiating with burial following at Grant Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
