Lance T. Dalton

Lance Tracey Dalton, 60, of Jonesboro, passed away at 4:24 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in Jonesboro. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Friday, September 24, 1965, to Delno and Marilyn (Lahr) Dalton Sr.

Lance graduated from Marion High School. After graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Known by many as a true handyman, Lance had a remarkable ability to build, construct, paint, repair, and create just about anything he set his mind to.

He loved the outdoors and found peace in kayaking, fishing, and spending time in nature. He enjoyed playing pool, cooking and eating good food, and listening to classic rock. In his younger years, he treasured hunting trips with his father-memories that stayed close to his heart throughout his life.

Lance is survived by his daughter, Ariel Dalton; grandsons, Brice Sesler and Kash Hopkins; brothers, Matthew Dalton, Delno Dalton Jr., and Jimmy (Deadra) Dalton; sister, Rachel (late Jimmy Duncan) Duncan; nieces, Jami Duncan, Michelle (Nakeisha) Dalton Cook, Hanna Dalton, and Cristen Dalton; his beloved dogs, Buddy, Christian, Peanut, and Scrappy; and his best friends, Gregory Philebaum and Danny Fox.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Vincent Edward Dalton; and his best friend, David Paul McMillan Sr.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Needham Storey Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Immediately following visitation, a service to celebrate Lance's life will begin at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
