Charles Durham, Sr. passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the Littlefield Memorial Park Cemetery in Littlefield, Texas under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Knox City, Texas. A visitation is planned from 2:00 to 4:00pm, Monday, February 23, 2026, at the funeral home, 210 Ave. A., Knox City, Texas.
Charles was born March 26, 1938 in Littlefield, Texas to Ada (Thomas) and Grover Durham. He married Gloria Sealy on September 1, 1956 in Littlefield, Texas. Charles raised quarter horses and showed them. He bought and restored Bud’s Cafe after it had burned down. He also enjoyed playing dominos. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Knox City since 1979.
He is survived by his son, Chuck Durham and wife Wilna of Springdale, AR, 2 daughters, Patty Durham and Junior Ramirez of Knox City, Texas, Tammie Dillon of Lubbock, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Ashley, Tiffany, Bradyn, and Jonathan; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special nephew, Kim Sealy of Benjamin, Texas.
He is preceded by his parents, Grover and Ada Durham; wife, Gloria Durham; sisterJoy Hammock, brother Sonny Durham.
