Charles Dwight "Charlie" Coffey, 76 of Rushville, IL passed away
Sunday December 28, 2025, at his home. He was born on January 17,
1949, in Beardstown, IL and he is the son of Eileen Grafton Coffey. He
married the love of his life Diana "Dee" Lyles on September 19, 1975, at
Schuy-Rush Park in Rushville. He is survived by a (2) brothers-in-law
Mike Ransom (Kathy), Chris Taylor; sister-in-law Jennie Shinall (James
Mayes); (3) nieces Annie Collins, Nikki Gregerson, Jenny Wolff; (3)
nephews Robbie Knous, Chad Knous, Jamie Daniels; and Numerous
great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by (2) sisters Candy
Quillen, and Carol Coffey. Charlie graduated from Rushville High
School. He was a Manger at Alexander Lumber until he retired. Charlie
enjoyed woodworking, going to car shows and races with his wife Dee,
and hunting and loved his cats. Cremation has been accorded. A
visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday January 3,
2025, at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville. A private graveside
will be held at later date at Beardstown City Cemetery. Memorials may
be given to Schuyler County Humane Society.
