Charles P. Dziak Jr.

1935 - 2026

Charles P. Dziak Jr., 90, of Latrobe, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, at Independence Health System Latrobe Hospital. Born Oct. 17, 1935, in Youngstown, he was the son of the late Charles P. Dziak Sr. and Sophia (Barlock) Dziak. Charles was a member of St. Cecilia Church, Whitney. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed at the Latrobe Brewing Company for 42 years, where he was the assistant brewmaster and a member of the Brewmasters' Association. He also belonged to the former Latrobe Jaycees and was a life member of the B.P.O. Elks No. 907. Charles enjoyed hunting and was an avid fan of all types of sports. He loved hosting and attending neighborhood parties and events during his time on James Street, Irving Avenue, and Whispering Knoll. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa (Donnelly) Dziak, on Feb. 23, 2022; and a great-grandson, Eli Dziak. Charles is survived by three children, David Dziak (Carol), Sheryl Ann Dziak, and Kim Jordan (Neil); four grandchildren, Jason Dziak (Amanda), Justin Dziak (Laura Cintora), Dr. Nicole Jordan (Marcus Littman), and Staff Sgt. Alec Jordan, U.S. Army (Taylor Lawrimore); three great-grandchildren, Reese, Wyatt, and Austin; one sister, Mary Louise Harvey (Francis J. II); and nephews, Francis and Jonathan Harvey. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Charles' friends and neighbors at Whispering Knoll, as well as the nurses at Latrobe Hospital, for all of their kindness and care that they provided. Family and friends will be received from 9 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at LOPATICH-BRINKER FUNERAL HOME LLC, 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Noon on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at St. Cecilia Church, Whitney, with Rev. James Podlesny, OSB, as celebrant.
