Charles Ehrie Obituary

He was born on December 4, 1942 in Lafayette, IN to the late Charles V. and Dorothy L. (Isbell) Ehrie.
Charlie served his country in the United States Navy for 5 years where he served on the USS Northampton.
He worked construction for WH Long and had previously worked for Clay Isley Construction.
He attended St. Boniface Catholic Church and was a member of Navy Club Ship 12.
Charlie enjoyed drinking a Budweiser, tinkering outside, riding his Harley, and anything to do with animals.
Surviving are his children, Diana D. Davis, Sheila D. Gray, Melinda J. Miller, Natacia A. (Jason) Newman, Tonya L. (Jeff) Jones, Dusten A. Fox, and Rick T. Ehrie; his sister, Nancy L. Bales; his 25+ grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and past close companion, Bonnie J. Donohue.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Celina and his sons, Charles D. Ehrie and Wesley C. Ehrie.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel. A Service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery.
Memorial Donations may be made to Fisher Funeral Chapel to assist the family with funeral expenses.

Charlie was a good friend of my sister and her husband. My son's were friends with his son's Rick and Wesley. Charlie was very pleasant to be around. Man he sure had a lot of kids. Sorry to his family for having to learn to live without him.
