Charles "Charlie" L. Ewer, age 68, of Marshfield, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at his home.
A memorial service for Charlie will be held 11am on Friday, May 23rd at the Rembs Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Huettel officiating. Visitation will be from 9am until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be scheduled at a later date.
Charlie was born on July 2, 1956, in Ladysmith, the son of George A. and Mary Lou (Whittenberger) Ewer. They resided in the Holcombe area until his father's death on Feb. 6, 1970. The family then resettled in Thorp where he finished his education. He was united in marriage to Christine A. Ewer in Neillsville. They later divorced. He then shared 25 years with his longtime companion Lori Ann Carrillo who preceded him in death last August.
A skilled carpenter by trade, Charlie dedicated over 25 years to the Indianhead Community Action Agency. Known as a "jack-of-all-trades," he took great pride in his ability to fix just about anything. He especially cherished his 1968 Camaro. A passionate music lover, Charlie enjoyed playing his guitar and was always the life of the party - bringing energy, laughter, and music wherever he went.
Charlie is survived by his children: Todd (Allison Birr) Ewer of Stevens Point; Steven (Courtney Coenen) Ewer of Stevens Point; and Sara (Michael Friske) Ewer, of Pittsville. He is further survived by four grandchildren: Cassidy, Tully, Gemma, and Wyatt; and his siblings: Juanita Jerome of Chippewa Falls, WI; Peggy (Paul) Sinn of Cadott, WI; Pattie Klapatauskas of Hopkinsville, KY; Ronald (Lisa) Ewer of Hopkinsville, KY; Mary (Kevin) Eichelt of Lublin, WI; Roger Ewer of Medford, WI; and Jennie Jennejohn of Springfield, MO
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather Harold Jennejohn; longtime partner Lori Ann Carrillo; brothers Kenneth Ewer, Michael Ewer, and step-brother Harold Jennejohn, Jr.
