Charles “Charlie” J. Fedak, Sr. was born on May 1, 1943, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to Stephen and Amelia (Wlodarski) Fedak. He passed away at age 82 at his home on December 22, 2025, from complications of long-term Parkinson’s Disease.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eileen (Decker) Fedak; beloved daughter, Cynthia Brazanskas; son-in-law, Stephen Brazanskas; grandsons, Gavin and Luke Brazanskas; brother, Alfred Fedak and sister-in-law, Susan Fedak; sister, Maryellen Freda and brother-in-law, Michael Freda; sister-in-law, Donna Decker; brother-in-law, William Decker and sister-in-law, Marylou Decker; as well as many, many loving nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family.

Charlie is predeceased by his parents; his beloved son, Charles “Chuck” J. Fedak, Jr.; his sister, Louise Dalbora; his brother-in-law, James Dalbora; his sister-in-law, Virginia Jones; his brother-in-law, Robert Decker; and his best friend, Ronald Buttenbaum.

Graduating from Thomas Edison High School in New Jersey with the class of 1961, he continued his education at Union Junior College while starting on his lifelong career path in drafting and design at Hankins/MacMillan-Bloedel Corporation in Union, NJ, working there for over 25 years and living in East Brunswick, NJ. He then moved to Vernon, NJ where he was Senior Vice President/General Manager in design at Conocraft Corp. until his retirement. Charles was well known across the country in his field. He was considered one of the leading “Point of Purchase” designers on the East Coast, having won many POPAI awards for his designs and displays, and having several patents issued in his name. He loved his work, the people, and the sense of accomplishment he had over all those years.

He was an active member for many years in the East Brunswick High School Wrestling Club, the Stevensville Community Club, and the NRA.

Soft spoken, quiet, intelligent, and kind, Charlie could build, fix, or solve almost anything. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and living full-time with his wife in their Stevensville home following his retirement. Family was most important to him, and he was proud of the knowledge he was able to pass on to his grandsons. He also hosted many fun-filled family camping reunions and visits from friends.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services at this time. A celebration of his Life will be held sometime in the Spring. He will be greatly missed and always in our hearts.
