Charles William Ford, 90, of Paw Paw, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at White Oaks Assisted Living in Lawton.
He was born January 16, 1935, in Blue Island, Illinois.
Charles was a proud Army Veteran. He was a volunteer for hospice organizations for over 20 years. He also worked as a ticket taker at Miller Auditorium. Charles was a talented photographer and loved to take photos and share them with his family and friends. He was a man of deep faith and was a longtime member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Portage.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Joan (VanArkel) Ford; sons, Gregory (Renae) Ford, Donald Ford, Thomas (Laura) Ford and Scott Ford; grandchildren, Michelle Owens, Rhett (Nene) Ford, Brooks (Christina) Ford, Tyler (Shannon) Ford, Kelsey (Skye) Ford, Joseph (Tessa) Ford, Madison (Palmer) Bronkan, Jordan (Lauren) Ford, Lexington (Kenneth) Mardeusz and Amy (Paulus) Ford, along with 17 great-grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, George and Phyllis Ford, as well as his 12 siblings.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw. There will also be a visitation Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Rachel Laughlin officiating. Charles will be laid to rest privately with full military honors at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
