Leah Marie Moses, 88, of Lawrence, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Ely Manor in Allegan.
Leah was born February 24, 1937, in Hartford, Michigan, the daughter of Jerry H. Haney and Alice Marie (Dillenbeck) Haney.
Leah was one of the founding members and organizers of the Lawrence Quick Response Team. Always ready to help others, she put on many fundraisers and benefit dinners for various different charities throughout her years. Leah was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader and enjoyed attending church services at Paw Paw United Methodist Church. She was loving, caring, ambitious and had a great perseverance. Leah adored spending time with her family and friends.
On July 2, 1955, in Lawrence, Michigan, she married Charles Stuart Moses, who preceded her in death on November 30, 2025.
She is survived by her daughters, Alice (Gary) Burnside and Teri Sue (Steve) Moses; grandsons, Chris (Ann) Tapper, Craig (Megan) Tapper, Glen (Erika) Burnside and Chad (Elleigh) Burnside; many great-grandchildren and sisters, Joyce (Pat) Alburtus and Geraldine Walker.
Leah was preceded in passing by her parents, husband, Charlie; daughter, Jeri Tapper; and sister, Vivian Kaylor.
In accordance with Leah's wishes, cremation will take place. There will be no public services at this time.
