Stephen E. Moses, age 80, of West Alexandria, OH passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Vancrest of Eaton Health Care Center. He was born on July 22, 1945 in Dayton, OH to the late Ralph and Mary Kathryn (Wachtel) Moses.
He was a 1963 graduate of Lanier High School and All-County Basketball Player. He attended Capital University and worked for General Motors for over 30 years. Following retirement, he and his wife wintered in Orlando, working at Walt Disney World for more than a decade. He was a member of the West Alexandria Lions Club, spearheading its fundraising efforts to purchase the community’s first ambulance in honor of his brother-in-law. He was a supporter and manager of West Alexandria Little League teams. He was a longtime member of the King Hiram Masonic Lodge, where he served as Master; and was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church, serving several terms on the church council.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law Larry and Nevajo Moses; brother-in-law Randal Richter; and niece Debra Frary.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Regina (Richter) Moses; son Craig (Caroline) Moses; daughter Angela (Jim) Osborne; grandchildren Ross and Katie Osborne and Heather Moses; brother Harold (Delores) Moses; sister-in-law Rhonda (David) Haines; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm at the Gard Funeral Home, 67 W. Dayton Street, West Alexandria, OH with Pastor Barry Shafer officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Steve’s honor to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284, the National Kidney Foundation, 30 E 33rd Street, New York, NY, 10016 or to another charity of the donor’s choice.
