FOSSLER - Charles Edward "Ed" Fossler, age 90 of Dacula, GA, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024. No services are scheduled at this time. Ed was the owner of "Fossler Drilling". He was an active member of the Church of Christ his entire life. Ed was always giving support and helping when and where he could. He taught many Bible classes and was an encouragement to others. His final place of worship was at the Church of Christ in Lawrenceville. Ed was a hard worker his whole life and a master of "fixing things", whatever it was. Although his career was drilling holes for hydrolic elevators, very physically demanding work, he and his wife, Ruby, also lived on a small farm in Fort Lauderdale where they raised their daughter, along with cows, horses, chickens, and goats. They retired to the Gwinnett area to be near their only child, her husband and their grandchild. Eventually they lived on a small farm in Dacula for many years, riding horses and raising miniature spotted goats with his wife. He rode Tennessee walking horses with his wife into his late 70's. He was a lover of animals and especially cats. Ed loved outdoor activities, canoeing, boating, nature, shooting and truly, he simply loved to work and putter. He was happiest with a project or something to weld or repair. He will be missed by so many, especially his family. Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby (Schmid) Fossler. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Mark Rogers of Snellville, GA; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Abby and Clarke Baena; serval nieces and nephews; numerous family and friends. Arrangements by Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 300 Simonton Road SW, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046. 770.962.3100. Please sign the online guest registry at www.stewartfh.com.
