Charles Frank

Charles Edward Frank, 79, of Ashby, Minnesota, died Saturday, December 10th, 2022, at Ashby Living Center.
He was born on March 26th, 1943, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Willis and Eunice Frank. He married Donna Jean Cape on April 4th, 1964, in Washington, Illinois. They were blessed with 2 sons, David Ryan and Joseph Edward. Charlie worked at Caterpillar until his retirement in 1992. In 1993, Charlie and Donna moved to Ashby, Minnesota, where they purchased Ashby Resort and Campground. Charlie loved fishing on Pelican Lake and hunting in Southern Illinois.
He is survived by daughter-in-law, Darlena Pitsonbarger of Indiana; granddaughter, Briana Frank-Hanson (Adam) of Minnesota, and great-grandchildren, Conor Edward and Carly Jean. In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jean; sons, Joseph and David, and brothers Bill and John.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on December 29, 2022, at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Ashby, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Silas Clarke will be officiating. Burial will be held at Glendale Cemetery in Washington, Illinois, at a later date.
