Sharon Mae Johnson, 83, passed away on Tuesday, June 24th, 2025, at her cabin home on the lake surrounded by family.

Sharon was born on December 21st, 1941, to Hazel and Robert Anderson in Fergus Falls, MN.

Sharon was a loving sister of Roberta (Clark Field); mother of Scott (Bonnie Jenzen-Johnson) and Robyn; grandmother of Cody, Trevor (Allie Du Lac-Johnson), Cole (Mackenzie Scott), Amanda (Garrett Foltz), Sammy (Dillon Anderson), Scotty (Courtney Johnson), and Hannah; great grandmother to Bryce, Richie, Beckett, Jonas, Sunny, Seilor, Soren, Aubri, Ares, Reginald, and Archie. She had many beloved family and friends including her nieces, nephews, and her sister-in-law Marita. She raised many dogs and cats, mostly those that were taken in from her grandkids. Despite saying she didn’t want a pet, she loved them.

Sharon was married to Roger Johnson on September 15th, 1962. They lived in Hopkins, Waconia, and then in 1997 moved back to Pelican Lake in Ashby MN. She then moved to the home she was raised in Ashby, followed by the Ashby Apartments where she enjoyed visits from her grandkids and socializing with her neighbors over coffee.

She experienced numerous tragic losses in her life, including her daughter Robyn, husband Roger, her special sister Marvel, special daughter Becky, her brother-in laws Dennis and Clarky, and her parents Hazel and Robert.

Her kids, grandkids and great grand kids were the light and love of her life and her pride and joy. She kept an open house where everyone was welcome to visit anytime. She was everyone’s grandma no matter when or how you arrived at her door. The minute you walked in you were family, greeted with hot coffee or cold drinks, Sharon was always there no matter what you needed.

She will be missed by many. The family would like to thank the Vivie hospice care team and all those who visited in the last few weeks. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
