Charles "Chuck" A. Gogreve, III of
Metairie, LA passed away on November 30, 2025. Chuck was born on November 25,1946 in New Orleans, LA to Charles A. Gogreve, Jr. and Jewel St. Amant Gogreve.
Chuck was raised in Baton Rouge, LA. He attended Catholic High in Baton Rouge as well as LSU. Chuck owned a successful general construction company. He honed his trade while living in Miami for several years. With a very loyal group of employees, Chuck garnered a great reputation as a general contractor once he moved to New Orleans.
Chuck was always an excellent golfer, receiving several trophies as an amateur. As a member of Metairie Country Club for many years, he could often be seen ripping drives down the fairway while playing with his good buddies, brothers or his dad.
Chuck was also an avid fisherman. Family and friends loved going out to Breton Sound with him because they knew they would return home with a full ice chest of speckled trout!
Chuck eventually retired to Oak Harbor in Slidell and was able to continue the hobbies he loved.
Chuck is survived by four siblings: Barbara McCurdy (Annette), Bart Gogreve (Joan), Jay Gogreve (Sharon) and John Gogreve (Giovanna). Chuck is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews and also 11 great nieces and nephews.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Jewel Gogreve, two siblings Donald J. Gogreve and Ann Gogreve Elks and his nephew Scott Gogreve.
