Roger Celestin Bouche Jr.

Roger Celestin Bouche Jr., of Lacombe, Louisiana, passed away on December 1, 2025, at the age of 85. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on August 6, 1940, to his loving parents, the late Roger Celestin Bouche Sr. and Clothilde Gautreau Bouche.
Roger is the beloved husband of Sandra Call Bouche, with whom he shared 58 years of countless memories. He is the adored father of Roger C. Bouche III (Tammy), Robin Dettwiller (Spencer), Tammy Beba (Keith), and Kim Lascala (Joseph) and proud grandfather of Megan Dettwiller, Jennifer Dettwiller Dobbs, Brandon Beba, Brittany Beba Mollere, Roger C. Bouche IV, Justin Lascala, Joelle Lascala, and Jenna Lascala Jurgens. He also leaves behind, to cherish his memory, two great-grandchildren with one more on the way and a host of extended family members.
Roger graduated from Cor Jesus High School and attended Louisiana State University in New Orleans. He served as a Master Sergeant in the Louisiana Army National Guard, where he dedicated himself to the service of his country with honor and distinction until retirement. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council 12989, finding joy in fellowship and service.
Roger loved learning about Louisiana history and shared his love with all who would listen. He could often be found watching Westerns, especially ones with Roy Rogers, but loved nothing more than time spent with his family. Roger will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious laughter, and dedication to his family and friends. His presence filled every room with warmth, humor, and compassion. Those who knew him will forever carry his spirit in their hearts and his memory in their stories.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Saint John of the Cross Church in Lacombe. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Roger will be laid to rest in the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery at a later private graveside service.
